Berry Picking in the Houston Area

IMG_1972 2.JPG

Spring is officially here, but it is feeling more like summer!. I went to Froberg's Farm in Alvin this past weekend for my first time and had such a great time. I kept thinking this would be such a great activity to do with children that is inexpensive and different. Even though we were only 40 mins outside of Houston, I felt like I was far away and was able to get some fresh air. Any activities where I can be outside, I always enjoy. So berry picking can now be checked off my list until I have kiddos. They informed us that next year they will have blueberries as well. Something to keep in mind is that the berries were already getting picked over and I would also recommend getting there early. We went around 2 and it was already really hot. They recommend coming in March, when there is a better selection. I would still highly recommend checking it out and going inside the market that they have inside with fresh fruits and vegetables. I already have the pumpkin patch on mind that they have there. I wanted to bring my baby with me, but NO DOGS are allowed. I went included some more information about other locations that are in Houston along with the details about Froberg’s Farm. I hope that this helps for anyone looking for something to do over the weekend!
